After graduating, he was selected to attend the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Union City, California, where he received the Resident of the Year award.
Each year he greatly exceeds the dental board's required amount of continuing education hours by attending a full week of courses at Seattle's Kois Center for Dental Education. The Kois Center teaches top dentists from around the world the latest in dental research and science. Dr. Soto strives to provide patients with the most up-to-date dental care by using the latest, scientifically proven dental techniques, materials, and procedures.
In addition to providing high-quality comprehensive general dentistry, Dr. Soto has a special interest in the art of cosmetic dentistry. He has become one of San Francisco's premier cosmetic dentists. He is also an instructor at the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies and Frontier Dental Institute, teaching other dentists concepts in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry on live patients.
His most significant education was the five years working with Dr. Albert Kadosh. Dr. Kadosh passed on 45 years of dental experience and knowledge and taught him to treat people, not teeth.
Prior to dental school, he attended San Jose State University, where he studied marine biology. Since then, he has served as a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito and at the Oakland Zoo.
Dr. Soto is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys doing anything with his wife and children, traveling, photography, playing basketball, running, DJing, and watching the Warriors and 49ers.
