GLO is a professional whitening system available exclusively through GLO partner dental practices like our office.
GLO can achieve whitening up to 6 shades whiter than your initial shade in under an hour, without the risk of sensitivity.
How GLO Works
GLO works by incorporating warming heat and LED blue lights that accelerate and optimize patient results. The specially-formulated whitening gel has a unique consistency that adheres to your teeth rather than being runny like other whitening products.

Teeth Whitening in San Francisco
When you come to our office for teeth whitening, we will set up an initial exam and digital x-rays to assess your overall dental health and determine if you are a candidate for the GLO teeth whitening system. If your oral health is suitable for teeth whitening, you will have two options to choose from: in-office treatment or at-home treatment. A take-home whitening kit to maintain the results of the whitening process is provided with the in-office treatment.
GLO Take-Home Teeth Whitening System
If you choose the GLO take-home system, we’ll provide you with all of the tools you need to achieve whitening results in the comfort of your home.
You will receive a set of equipment that includes a chargeable control, mouthpiece, lip care, and bleaching gel.
To get started, apply a thin layer of lip care to the outside and inside of your lips. This product will help protect your lips from any sensitivity or discomfort. You can also apply lip care to your gums if you have sensitive gums.
Then, squeeze the bleaching gel onto its attached brush tip and apply a thin layer over your teeth. The final step is to turn on the GLO control and keep the mouthpiece in for eight minutes at a time.
You’ll know the mouthpiece is on when it lights up blue.
You’ll repeat this three more times. GLO recommends using the system five to ten times to achieve the desired results. The total application time is about 32 minutes.
In-Office Treatment
If you choose to do your GLO treatments in the office, all you have to do is sit back and relax while our team handles the process for you!
In-office treatment follows a similar structure. We start by coating the lips and gums with a special lip balm, leaving only your tooth enamel exposed.
We then apply the whitening gel to your teeth and activate the bleaching process with the GLO warming system and LED light.
We will repeat this process twice more. You will have immediate results and leave our office brighter and whiter!
